John Albert Foley III is from Northampton County on the Eastern Shore of Virginia's Chesapeake Bay, where his affection and respect for small scales and simplicity took root. In the undergraduate and graduate architecture programs at Virginia Tech he nurtured a broader knowledge of and experience in this great world. George Adam Makrinos developed a love for architecture, travel, social responsibility and music at a young age. Today, he resides in Alexandria, VA, a suburb of Washington D.C. where he practices architecture with the firm PGAL and is adjunct professor of computer applications at Virginia Tech.
