Day25, 1589km: Rothenburg, Germany.

Towns here are marked by fortified walls which once kept intruders at bay. Today the gate doors are gone as life carries on peacefully. We wander from town to town admirring their timelessness. Clean water continues to flow from the through the ancient town square fountains. Beyond the walls, rolling hill valleys are framed in majesty. German, Italian and English languages crisscross the central square. A tourist snaps photos. We delight in the experience and opportunity to taste life here. There is an angel on our right shoulder. We laugh to pass the time. Sipping beer at the end of the day while resting, we allow space of mind to consider perspectives and take the route best of choice tomorrow. We are heading north-west at a steady pace through Bavaria.

  1. Hello! I hope you're doing fine, and that you maybe remember me.. appearently you are moving fast and everything goes as planned. Myself, I finished my little journey in Italy.. It was nice down there, extremely hot though. Had a lot of baths to cool me down. Nice blog, good luck!
