MANAGING MONEY : Taking a two month leave from work requires us to ration cash and spend responsibly. Our allowance of 1 Euro per kilometer is a reasonable approximation of what this trip has cost. This golden rule rewards our hard work with enjoyable concessions throughout the day. On a typical day, if we ride 80km for example, we can expect the following spending: 
10EU breakfast, 40EU lunch/dinner groceries, 15EU campsite, and 15EU other. In our favor, travel by bicycle and camping can be inexpensive but against us is the conversion from US$ to EU$ which has fallen to 1/1.4 today. Here is an image of EU banknotes.

Did you see the gigantic steel factories in Katwijk aan Zee??? What a contrast to the beach...and so unexpected in this landscape...
